The CNRT has the following mandates:

• Reference diagnostics for Lyme borreliosis and Q fever.
• Expertise on other tick-borne diseases
• Source of supply for reference materials
• Quality assurance and research in the field of test development
• Information and trainings for professionals and lay people
• Scientific advice
• Networking on a national and international level

An advisory group evaluates the activities of the CNRT and provides recommendations for its activities.
